Selecting Your Outdoor Lounge Chair
There are so many small things you can do to get more use out of your outdoor space. If you want to create an outdoor area where you can relax, lounge, read a book and socialize with family and friends, consider purchasing a lounge chair or two.
Start with your lifestyle needs and budget. How will you use your lounge chairs? Relax by the pool? Dine at an outdoor table? Sit while gardening?
Next, consider how much you wish to spend on the chairs. Prices can range from around $50 to upwards of a few hundred dollars for each chair.
Other factors to consider:
- Material / Fabric
When selecting a lounge chair for your outdoor space, size is always going to be a limiting factor, unless of course you have a huge, sprawling yard.
Do you want your lounge chair to adjust? Do you want to be able to lie down in your chair?
How important is it for your chair to have arm rests?
Choosing a material is very important. If your lounge chair will be in an open area that is uncovered, select a material that will withstand the elements of Colorado year round weather.
If you are using your lounge chair in a covered area or where the weather will not affect it as much, you will have much more flexibility in your selection.
You'll find lounge chairs available in:
- Wicker and Resin Wicker
- Wrought iron
Theme / Style
Choose your furnishings based on the theme already used in your outdoor space or mix it up and create your own: Classic, contemporary, traditional, modern, rustic, country or any combination of themes can be fun, personalize your style.
Have fun shopping for your outdoor lounge chair! Do some research online, then go to a few stores and touch and feel them. Be sure to sit down in each one you are considering to make sure you will be able to really relax in it while you are at home enjoying your outdoor space.
